“Architect Zaha Hadid has designed a system of twisting auditorium seats for Italian brand Poltrona Frau Contract.

Called Array, each chair features a seat that flips diagonally upwards when not in use, forming a triangle with the back and a single armrest. Poltrona Frau Contract will launch the design in Milan this April as part of an exhibition of work by Zaha Hadid called Multiplicities at Fonderia Napoleonica, Via Thaon di Revel 21, from 9 to 14 April.”

H3 House, 314 Architecture Studio

H3 is a detached, two-floor family home which is built onto a 7000 m2 piece of land in the city of athens, its structural presence much like that of being displayed on stage. The main volume of the house is supported by pillars, in which it hovers over a swimming pool, giving the feeling of floating over water as a means of tapping into the owner’s love for yachts.

The bioclimatic concept of the dwelling implements cooling through its contact with water, and the use of geothermal energy gives this residence a dynamic and modern aesthetic, while also being eco-friendly. The elevated structure also features a green terraced platform for additional outdoor space.
